Assessment rubric — how your evidence is graded
Every submission is evaluated against the same PDQ 5881 criteria, so expectations are identical for everyone. Review this before you submit.
Criteria
- Understanding of teaching & learning concepts
- Developing thinking & practice (theory → practice)
- Analysis & reflection beyond description
- Communication & presentation
Grade bands
- Distinction (85–100) — critical understanding, theory-linked practice, rigorous referencing.
- Pass (60–84) — sound understanding, some theory-practice links, mostly descriptive.
- Fail (< 60) — thin evidence, little theory-practice connection, no referencing.
Pass mark per module: 60%. The full certificate also requires all portfolio evidence to be mentor-verified.
Create a draft with AI
AI-generated portfolio items are for drafting and inspiration only and will NOT be accepted as submission for portfolio evidence. You must develop, refine and personalise the content into your own authentic work before submitting it to your portfolio.
